## History

### Wave of Political Scandals (1985 - 1999)

During the [Revolutions of the 1980s and
1990s](Revolutions_of_1986_-_1995 "wikilink"), a massive wave of
scandals were uncovered in Belgium. These include:

    uncovering the involvement of Belgian police and politicians and
    child sex trafficking and child pornography rings.
