**Britta Gröndahl** (1914 - 2002) was an [anarcho-syndicalist](Anarcho-Syndicalism "wikilink"), [anarcha-feminist](Anarcha-Feminism "wikilink"), teacher, journalist and [SAC](Central_Organisation_of_the_Workers_of_Sweden "wikilink") organiser. ## Life Born in Eskilstuna, she was the daughter of a conservative politician and was one of the first women in [Sweden](Sweden "wikilink") to get a grammar school degree (in Latin) in 1931, she married in 1936 and studied language at [university](university "wikilink"). She became a passionate musician and befriended many others, and became increasingly curious about [libertarian socialism](Libertarian_Socialism "wikilink") in the 1950s, studying [Proudhon](Pierre-Joseph_Proudhon "wikilink"), the [IWW](Industrial_Workers_of_the_World "wikilink") and [Simone Weil](Simone_Weil "wikilink"), becoming a respected historian and journalist. She helped organise with the SAC and befriended [Augustin Souchy](Augustin_Souchy "wikilink"), she began traveling in 1962, smuggling large amounts of money into Spain to the underground [CNT](National_Confederation_of_Labour_\(Spain\) "wikilink"), and witnessed the [May 1968 Events in France](May_1968_Events_in_France "wikilink") and the [Carnation Revolution](Carnation_Revolution "wikilink") in [Portugal](Portugal "wikilink") as a journalist in 1974.
