The **Holocaust** or the **Shoah** was a

Germany](Nazi_Germany "wikilink") that killed around 17 million people.
Nazis targetted Jews, queer people, the disabled, leftists, prisoners of
war, dissidents, anti-fascists, slavs and other groups deemed
'degenerate' by the regime.
