The **Industrial Workers of the World** or **IWW** is an [international
trade union](List_of_Libertarian_Socialist_Organizations "wikilink")
which aims for the creation of a global society built on [workers'
self-management](Workers'_Self-Management "wikilink"). It has had strong
ties with [libertarian socialists](Libertarian_Socialism "wikilink")
throughout history, mainly
[anarcho-syndicalists](Anarcho-Syndicalism "wikilink").
