The **International Confederation of Labor (ICL)** is a [global union](Trade_Union "wikilink") [federation](Confederation "wikilink") consisting of trade unions with [anarcho-syndicalist](Anarcho-Syndicalism "wikilink") origins. Specifically the experience of the prison strike organized by the Incarcerated Workers Organizing Committee (IWOC) of the IWW is mentioned. At this point the ICL is also looking to expand its membership base to include the Middle East, Central- and South America and North Africa.
