The **Iron Law of Oligarchy** is an idea in

organisations](Democracy "wikilink") eventually turn into oligarchies.
Developed by [Syndicalist](Syndicalism "wikilink") [Robert
Michels](Robert_Michels "wikilink") and is often used as one of the
strongest arguments against democracy, especially [representative
