The **Kuzbass Autonomous Industrial Colony** was an experimental
community in [workers'
self-management](Workers'_Self-Management "wikilink") in the
[USSR](Union_of_Soviet_Socialist_Republics "wikilink") from [1922 to
1926](Timeline_of_Libertarian_Socialism_in_Northern_Asia "wikilink").
Established by American
[anarcho-syndicalists](Anarcho-Syndicalism "wikilink") workers living in
the country (many had fled the US from political persecution).
