The **Red Square Protests of 1968** was an [anti-war

[1968](Timeline_of_Libertarian_Socialism_in_Eastern_Europe "wikilink")
against the USSR's invasion of
[Czechoslovakia](Socialist_Czechoslovakia "wikilink") in order to crush
the [Prague Spring](Prague_Spring "wikilink"). It was part of a [broader
global wave of unrest](Revolutions_of_1967_-_1975 "wikilink") and was
one of the only public protests in the [USSR](USSR "wikilink").
