protest of low wages and sexual harassment faced by hotel workers.

The concessions won by Marriot workers include:
|

|
||
- An increase in hourly wages by $4 an hour, bringing the median

||
hourly wage is $23 an hour
|
||
- The provision of a small pension based on how many years they’ve

||
worked at the company
|
||
- Provision of GPS-enabled panic buttons for housekeepers to alert
|
||
security staff if they feel unsafe with a guest when cleaning a
|
||
room.

||
- Banning of guests who have a history of sexually harassing workers
|
